Map Cafè

It was an awesome experience. Definitely, Cusco's best kept secret'. Those were the words of Alonso Ruiz from Spain after eating at MAP Café, a Cusco restaurant that is a must for anyone who claims to be a devotee of unexpected pleasures. Located in the patio of the Museo de Arte Precolombino, its glass cube shape is in sharp contrast but manages to blend seamlessly with the colonial architecture that houses the museum.

Candlelight and the chords of an Andean harp prepare us for the final seduction: the glorious food. The menu is innovative and a huge success. Renowned chef Coque Ossio has opted for a daring reinterpretation of Peruvian classic cuisine with a very personal touch. He has achieved memorable results such as the hot shrimp ceviche or his version of marinated pork. The desserts, created by Rebeca Delgado, are heavenly, unforgettable, designer pieces. This place is a feast for the eyes and the palate.
